Utility Tanks are available for a variety of custom applications in both stationary and portable configurations. Tanks are manufactured from medium-density polyethylene with U.V. inhibitors. Designed for containment of liquids of up to 1.7 specific gravity. Tank walls are translucent for level viewing and equipped with gallon indicators.
Dimensions and Tank Design
The number one reason homeowners chose utility tanks is their designs to fit through doorways. They are manufactured with two cylindrical sections that are moulded together to create a single storage tank. Utility tanks of 400 USG or smaller are 29” wide or less. While tanks of 750 USG or smaller are 35” or less. These designs mean that you can store hundreds of gallons of water in a tank that can fit through most common doorways in your home.
Popular Uses of Utility Tanks
1. Used as an indoor water reservoir for cisterns and wells. This increases your overall water storage capacity and creates a backup storage of water for times when your cistern is empty or your well runs dry.
2. Rainwater collection. Utility tanks fit nicely against the side of your house. Making them a more attractive option that takes up less of your garden and yard space.
3. For saltwater brine storage on trucks. This is primarily used for road salting during the winter. The small footprint allows for easier mobile use on the back of road salting trucks.
