Minegrid ® is manufactured from high-tenacity polyester (PET) yarns. PET grids pick up the load quickly, keep the mine roof tighter, minimize cribbing, and maximize the work area. Minegrid ® is non-conductive, fire retardant, and coated for high visibility. This creates a more workable material and conforms to irregularities more easily than metallic mesh and is much less likely to cause injury to workers. Available in a range of sizes and provides solutions for a wide array of jobs.
Minegrid ® geogrids are easy to install, are unaffected by freeze-thaw conditions and naturally occurring chemical/biological environments. Minegrid ® is utilized as a tensile element for mine roofs and ribs by confining and strengthening these walls to prevent rock intrusion.
